General Office FAQ

  • Mind and Body Family Wellness is a direct pay office. This means we do not accept or file health insurance. However, we are happy to supply the proper documentation for you to submit to your insurance company. We do accept HSAs and FSAs.

    Why do we not accept Health Insurance? For the most part, Health Insurance is concerned with “sick care”. It allows a limited amount of visits with a limited amount of reimbursement, often having many stipulations that can affect how the provider can administer care. The insurance companies end up dictating care instead of the doctor and the patient. When the third party is removed from the equation, then you can really take your health in your own hands.

    Mind and Body Family Wellness is a just what the name implies – a Wellness facility. Our vision is not an office of sick patients, but a community of practice members who consider their visits to be part of their wellness routine.

  • Yes! We are happy to accept HSA and FSA for your wellness needs.

  • We accept all major credit cards, HSA, FSA, cash and personal check.

  • We’re glad you asked! If this is your first time visiting our office, we ask that you call the front desk at 913-732-7832 to schedule your New Patient Appointment. If you have already seen the doctor and wish to book a subsequent appointment, you can either visit www.mindandbodykc.com or www.facebook.com/mindandbodykc and follow the prompts to book an appointment through your online patient portal. You can always call if you have any questions or prefer to book an appointment by talking to one of the friendly front desk staff. We look forward to seeing you!

  • If you have never been adjusted by one of our doctors, you are considered a new patient at Mind and Body Family Wellness. We ask that all new patients call the front desk to schedule an initial visit. We want your first experience with Mind and Body Family Wellness to be a positive person-to-person interaction. When you call to schedule, we can answer any questions you may have and get to know you a little bit in the process. We love developing lasting relationships with our practice members!
