Meet The Team
Dr. Jessica Tallman, DC
Hello! My name is Dr. Jessica, and I am a chiropractor and the owner of Mind and Body Family Wellness. After almost six years of being an associate DC at a fabulous clinic, I decided to branch out and create my own brand of chiropractic care – one that focuses heavily on the emotional component of nervous system health, along with the physical and chemical components.
Working together, you and I will explore the physical, chemical and emotional patterns you have developed over time that affect your personal expression of health. At each appointment, we will process and release old patterns that no longer serve you and create new patterns that allow you to thrive in a life you love living. I incorporate chiropractic adjusting, emotional balancing, and nutritional guidance tailored to each person’s individual needs to help you shed the old and embrace the new.
My favorite part of the job? Developing relationships with each person and witnessing the powerful changes that occur as you learn to listen to your body’s messages.
Check out our services page to see if my brand of chiropractic care can help you!
What do I do when I’m not at the office? I am blessed to be the mommy of three beautiful girls and wife to my handsome hubby since 2007. I enjoy singing the National Anthem at Royals games, performing my own Facebook Live concerts (ha!), planning themed birthday parties, reading a good book, exercising, and soaking up the great outdoors.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you better!
Dr. Chelsey Holstrom, DC
Hi! My name is Dr. Chelsey. I’m so excited to be serving you as a Doctor of Chiropractic! Chiropractic is actually a second career for me (and the best)! I graduated from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, then moved to the Kansas City area and started working in healthcare management. I always knew that I wanted to help people but felt that something was missing and that I wasn’t quite in my dream career. Making the choice to go back to school for chiropractic was one of the easiest decisions I’ve made, and I love helping people through the Chiropractic paradigm!
I believe our bodies are uniquely designed to function and heal from above-down, inside-out. Together we will address the physical, chemical, and emotional components that may be having adverse effects on your health. I am so very excited to work with you on our journey toward optimal well-being in mind, body, and spirit.
Outside the office, I enjoy relaxing at home with my family, being outside in the sunshine, watching movies, and I love when I have the opportunity to take a good hot bath. I live in Raymore, Missouri with my husband, Chad, our boys Jayden and Logan, and our two dogs, Nahla and Neo.
I look forward to getting to know you and to helping you achieve your wellness goals!

Alix Thompson, LMT
Hello! My name is Alix Thompson. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist and Healing Touch Practitioner. Through massage and bodywork, I can help others feel comfortable in their body, hold space for their emotional and spiritual well-being and create a nurturing environment to relax.
My bodywork journey was inspired by my experience as a Healing Touch Provider. Healing Touch is a relaxing, non-invasive, energy modality to assist you in overall relaxation, stress management, and assist the body to heal itself by aligning my patients with optimal wellness.
Healing Touch is a beautiful, powerful, gentle modality and has meant a great deal in my own personal growth and life journey. I’m very excited to share it with you and to hear about your experience of Healing Touch, as everyone’s experience is somewhat different.
To better meet the needs of the patients I serve, I expanded my skillset to include massage therapy modalities. Beyond “regular” massage, I also offer facial massage, cupping, hot stones and cold (very cold) rocks.
I have greatly enjoyed providing energy work to pregnant women and assisting them with pain management during their labor, as well as, working with the elderly in long-term care settings.
I have spent the past 30+ years working in long-term care supporting the elderly and their families. Elders and those who care for them hold a very special place in my heart. I specialize in dementia care and love to train others regarding best practices and ideas to support their loved one or client. My husband and I started Sage Senior Care Advisors where we assist families to find the right environment for their loved one when they are no longer able to live on their own. It’s beautiful work and has made my training in massage and healing arts possible. In my free time, I especially enjoy hanging out with my grands and family members. I have 3 kids of my own, 4 step-kids, and 7 grands. My husband and I love to travel, spending time outdoors and enjoy DIY projects on our house. I love hosting events, getting creative painting rocks and sticks, going for walks with our dogs, watching movies, reading, and singing.
I’m overjoyed to work with Mind and Body Family Wellness and very excited to meet you.
